Speedsta ready to unleash Hives/Foo Fighters
etc.
" Speedsta are a new Harrogate based 'contemporary rock band on the
scene
featuring talented songwriter/guitarist Matt Padden who some of you
might
remember from the days of jangly guitar popsters 'The Makers'.
They've been popping up informally at the Iron Duke a few times
in practice
mode but are now starting to gig regularly with a set, for the moment,
of covers.
The band make their proper debut at the Worlds End in
Knaresborough
this Friday, with Jay on lead vocals and guitar,
Arron on bass
and former
Beauty & The Beast drummer Jim.
But what sort of stuff do they play, I hear you say?
An interesting
mix of classics
by The Hives, Foo Fighters, The Jam, Red Hot
Chilli Peppers,
Queens of the Stone Age, Green Day and Nirvana. "
